# Staged Changes, Docs Updates

Welcome to the changelog! This one is about Staged Changes. 

What is Staged Changes, you ask?

We’ll get to that … right now!

## Staged Changes to PB

Staged Changes have arrived in [Priority Boarding](https://docs.railway.app/guides/environments#staged-changes)!

Up until now, every change made to an environment — updating a variable, changing a build/deploy config, or adding a Service or a Volume — would trigger a redeploy.

But as of today, if you [opt-in to the Staged Changes feature flag](https://docs.railway.app/guides/environments#staged-changes), you’ll be able to stage and review one or several changes together before triggering a redeploy!

Changes that are staged will show as purple in the dashboard.

When changes are staged, you’ll be able to click the `Details` button to review these changes. 

The review panel lets you know how many changes are set to apply and provides a line item for each change.

One of the best things about Staged Changes is that all changes are scoped to the current environment. This provides great power and flexibility when making changes across your applications.

In addition to isolating changes to an environment, this feature also opens the door to detailed activity history in the canvas … something we’re working hard to bring to you in the near future.
