# Feedback Season, Plugin Migration Reminder, Dashboard Speedup

Hello there!

We’re back at the keyboard this week to deliver the first of fifty-two changelogs in 2024. 

Since this week we’re in heads-down planning mode for the quarter, we’d like to invite YOU to tell US absolutely everything you want us to know about your Railway experience.

Seriously folks, we’re doing a Feedback-a-thon.

## Feedback-a-thon

Railway collects feedback 24/7, and we are always listening. Sometimes, we are listening a bit more intently than other times. This is one of those times. 

Long time passengers of Railway know that we plan projects once a quarter. This week we are racking up Linear tickets like speeding infractions in a fancy neighborhood.

Last year, [we shipped the Community Forum](https://community.railway.app/feedback) and the team used it to share never-before-seen concepts and collect project feedback. 

We are doing something a bit different this year — showing off our project pitches to you.

## Plugin Migration Reminder

As we’ve [mentioned](https://railway.app/changelog/2023-11-03-plugin-migration-priority-boarding#plugin-migration-pb) a [couple of times ](https://railway.app/changelog/2023-11-17-logs-histogram)now, [The Future of Databases is Services](https://blog.railway.app/p/launch-01-next-gen-databases).

This is another reminder that Plugins will be deprecated on **January 31, 2024**, after which plugins data will be deleted.

## Dashboard Speedup

We fixed some issues with the dashboard that should result in a substantial speedup for some users … we’re talking 5x in some cases. 

The issue was related to fetching and rendering a whole bunch of stuff related to environment configuration that actually doesn’t need to be rendered in the UI.

So check out the dashboard when you get a chance and let us know if it got faster for you, too.

## Fixes and Improvements

- When promoting a variable, if staged changes is enabled, we stage the change
- We fixed an issue with settings search
- We fixed an issue where project viewers were unable to see the canvas
- We improved the authentication flow in the Community Forum
- We are pausing EDU License sign-ups due to demand. Existing EDU Licenses are unaffected and will maintain service for their term and future renewals.
