# Edge Proxy Migration, New Guides Galore, What’s Coming Next

Welcome to the changelog, folks! 🎉

It’s the final quarter of the year, and our team has been busy this week cranking the gears, brainstorming, and *plotting world domination* (or at least the future of Railway 😉).

We’re wrapping up our Q4 planning week with a bang by jetsetting off to our biannual company retreat — it’s time to bond, make some memories, and remind ourselves *why* we’re building Railway in the first place.

So this week and next will be pretty relaxed from a feature release standpoint. We’re excited to bring you a ton of new stuff later this quarter … in due time.

Enough small talk — let’s get to the juicy bits of what we cooked up this week.

## **Edge Proxy Migration**

[Video: One benefit of the new edge proxy — new domains spin-up nearly instantaneously!]

Remember when we mentioned that we’d be migrating our userbase off the legacy edge proxy?

Well, we weren’t just blowing hot air.

We’ve officially *flipped the switch* and migrated existing service domains to the new edge proxy. Yep, no matter what plan tier you’re on, you’re getting a taste of the good stuff.

As we’ve mentioned in the past [few weeks](https://railway.app/changelog/2024-09-06-edge-improvements) and [months](https://railway.app/changelog/2024-07-19-database-private-networking#new-edge-proxy-migration), our new proxy comes turbo-charged with performance gains and enhanced reliability:

- You’ll now experience near-instant deploy cutovers
- You’ll now get detailed error pages with a traceable Request ID that you can forward to us for debugging

And much more is planned to unlock improved service start times, network logs and metrics, and multiple ports per service.

Got any questions or feedback meanwhile?

You know where to find us — drop a line in the [Help Station thread](https://help.railway.app/feedback/introducing-railway-s-new-edge-proxy-e6c7d6cf)!

## **New Guides Galore**

[Image: New guides are now getting added each week to the Railway Docs]

This week we put our writing caps on and published more guides to support even *more* languages and frameworks.

We’re talking to you, PHP and Go developers! Like Margaret Atwood said, *“A word after a word after a word is power.”* 💪

Here’s what’s fresh off the press:

- [**Deploying a Gin App**](https://docs.railway.app/guides/gin) guide for our Go enthusiasts
- [**Deploying a Laravel App**](https://docs.railway.app/guides/laravel) for PHP fans

… and that’s just the beginning. We have plenty more guides bubbling in the pipeline!

Is there something else you’re itching for us to cover? Don’t be shy — open up a [feedback thread](https://help.railway.app/feedback) in the Help Station and let us know.

Until next time, keep building, keep shipping, and most importantly — keep having fun! 🥳

## What’s Coming Next?

In Q4 we’re going to continue the trend of increasing reliability and scale at the platform level while introducing new features at the product level to make production applications easier to manage and scale.

In Q4, you’ll likely hear us talk about things like **database backups**, **improved volume migrations**, and improvements to the **canvas and service groups**.

You’ll also hear us talk all about [Railway Metal](https://railway.app/changelog/2025-09-27-last-chance-nits#railway-metal-reminder) and our plans to scale Railway servers around the world.

That’s how we’re going to drive better performance, reliability, and configuration options for your workloads.

Whew — there’s a lot to do.

We’re grateful for your support every step of the way.

See ya next week. ✌️

## **Fixes and Improvements**

- We released [Nixpacks v1.29.0](https://github.com/railwayapp/nixpacks/releases/tag/v1.29.0) with support for PHP 8.3 💫
