# Trial Time Limit, Elixir Support in Railpack, Volume Deletion for Expired Trial Accounts

🎉 **Welcome to this week’s edition of the Railway Changelog!** 🚀

Before we get started, I hope you’ve had an amazing week and preparing for a great relaxing weekend ahead. April is winding down gradually and Q2 is off to a great start.

This week, we’ve been busy fixing things and leveling up the product experience.

Now, let’s dive in and see what we shipped this week! 🚂✨

## Time Limit on Trial Reminder

[Last week](https://railway.com/changelog/2025-04-18-dashboard-fixes-larger-volume-migration-support), we announced that the free trial will soon be limited to 30 days from the date you sign up.

This is a reminder that the update is happening soon. After 30 days, your trial will automatically end even if you have unused credit. This change helps us create a clearer, predictable experience for users while we work towards offering a sustainable free tier in the near future.

We know this is a huge shift from the old “run until you’re out of credit” model. However, it’s an important step as we build something even better … you should hear more about this soon.

If you’re currently on a trial plan, now it’s a great time to dive in, use your credits, and experience everything Railway has to offer. Stay tuned!

## Expired Trial Volume Deletion

To improve platform and resource availability, we’ll begin deleting volumes associated with expired trial accounts.

Starting May 16, expired trial volumes will be scheduled for deletion. If you have an expired trial and wish to retain your data, please [upgrade to a paid plan](https://railway.com/pricing) before your volume is removed.

## Railpack Elixir Support

This week, we’re back with another big update to Railpack!

We’re stoked to announce that Railpack now supports [**Elixir**](https://railpack.com/languages/elixir) apps with zero config. If you’re an Elixir developer, your app will just work out of the box. No extra setup needed.

Whether you’re building with Phoenix or any other Elixir framework, we’ve got you covered, your app will be deployed fast and seamlessly without hitch!

## Fixes & Improvements

- We updated the Railway Function runtime to Bun 1.2.10, which includes the native Redis client, `Bun.redis`. If you have a `REDIS_URL` environment variable set in your functions, `Bun.redis` will work automatically, no additional setup or config needed
- We fixed a bug that prevented Static Outbound IPs from being disabled when projects were transferred from Pro to Hobby workspaces
- We added function runtime retrieval to the Railway API
- We fixed a broken footer link on railway.com
- We upgraded Nixpacks to v.1.37.0 ( but we recommend switching to [Railpack](https://railpack.com/) 😜 )
