## Deploy and Host

Deploy the one-deal backend API with a PostgreSQL database (PostGIS image) and a Redis instance in one click.

## About Hosting

The template runs the backend as a service, with Postgres and Redis each on their own persistent volume. Services talk to each other over Railway's private network.

## Why Deploy

It gives you a working backend, database, and cache with the connection variables already linked.

- Backend APIs that need geospatial queries through PostGIS
- Apps that need JWT authentication and a Redis cache

## Dependencies for one-deal

- PostgreSQL 16 with PostGIS (`postgis/postgis:16-3.4-alpine`)
- Redis

After the first deploy, run `CREATE EXTENSION postgis;` once in your database. JWT secrets are generated automatically; replace them with your own values if needed.
