# Deploy and Host AnythingMCP on Railway

[AnythingMCP](https://anythingmcp.com) is an open-source MCP gateway. It connects Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor to 700+ business systems (SAP Business One, Odoo, DATEV, Shopify, HubSpot, SQL databases) and turns any REST/OpenAPI, SOAP, GraphQL or OData API into MCP tools without writing code.

## About Hosting AnythingMCP

This template runs the official `helpcodeai/anythingmcp` image (dashboard and API in one container) next to a PostgreSQL database. Secrets (`JWT_SECRET`, `ENCRYPTION_KEY`) are generated for you, and the public Railway domain is wired into the URLs automatically. After the first deploy, open the domain and sign up: the first account becomes the admin, everyone else joins by invitation. Add connectors from the catalog, then connect your AI client to `https:///mcp`; Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor sign in with OAuth. If you add a custom domain, update `SERVER_URL`, `FRONTEND_URL`, `CORS_ORIGIN` and `NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL`.

### Implementation Details

The public domain points at the web app on port 3000, which proxies `/api`, `/mcp`, `/.well-known` and `/auth` to the backend on port 4000. The healthcheck is `/health`. Uploaded files for File Share live in `/data/files` inside the container; use AnythingMCP Cloud or the Docker Compose setup if you need them to persist across redeploys.
