## Documentation

# Deploy and Host Autopilot Backend n8n on Railway

Autopilot Backend n8n is a ready-to-run copy of n8n, the workflow automation tool, with a Postgres database already connected. Deploy it in one click, open your own n8n address, create your owner login, and import your workflows. No server setup and no command line.

## About Hosting Autopilot Backend n8n

This template starts two services: n8n and a Postgres database. Railway connects them, creates a secret encryption key for your saved logins, and gives n8n a public web address. The settings follow the free workflows in the Autopilot Backend repo. After the first deploy, open the address Railway shows you, create the owner account, and import the workflow files. You add your own credentials inside n8n. Nothing is shared with us. Railway bills your own account for the small amount of usage.

## Common Use Cases

- Run the free Autopilot Backend research, error alert and weekly report workflows.
- Host n8n for a faceless content pipeline: research, scripts, voice, video and publishing.
- Try n8n workflows without renting and setting up your own server.

## Dependencies for Autopilot Backend n8n Hosting

- A Railway account (n8n and Postgres run as two services in one project).
- Your own credentials for any tools a workflow uses, such as Google Sheets, email or an AI provider, added inside n8n after you deploy.

### Implementation Details

The n8n service builds from the public repo at github.com/autopilotbackend/faceless-content-n8n-workflow using the Dockerfile and railway.json in it. Settings are environment variables listed in .env.example. The webhook address is set from your Railway public domain. Set GENERIC_TIMEZONE to your own time zone after you deploy.

## Why Deploy Autopilot Backend n8n on Railway?
