# Deploy and Host Caddy on Railway

[Caddy](https://github.com/caddyserver/caddy) is a fast, extensible web server written in Go with a simple config format and automatic HTTPS.

## About Hosting Caddy

This template runs the official `caddy:2` image on port 80 with a volume at `/data` for Caddy's state. It starts with the default Caddyfile that serves a welcome page; to host your own site or proxy, change the image's Caddyfile (`/etc/caddy/Caddyfile`) or mount your files into `/usr/share/caddy`. Railway terminates HTTPS in front, so use plain `:80` site blocks.
