# Deploy and Host CheckCle

CheckCle is open-source uptime, SSL, DNS, and TCP monitoring. This template runs CheckCle v1.6.0 on Railway with a volume and a generated admin password.

## About Hosting CheckCle

The service builds from the public wrapper repo, listens on Railway's PORT, and stores PocketBase data at `/mnt/pb_data`. A health check calls `/api/health`.

Sign in with `CHECKCLE_ADMIN_EMAIL` and the generated `CHECKCLE_ADMIN_PASSWORD` from the service variables.

## Common Use Cases

- HTTP uptime checks for public sites
- SSL certificate expiry tracking
- DNS and TCP checks
- A status page and alert rules once you add your own notification credentials

## Dependencies for CheckCle

No database service. Notification channels are optional and use your own credentials.

### Deployment Dependencies

`CHECKCLE_ADMIN_EMAIL` is the only value you enter. `CHECKCLE_ADMIN_PASSWORD` and `CHECKCLE_ENCRYPTION_KEY` are generated for each deploy.
