# Deploy and Host code-server on Railway

[code-server](https://github.com/coder/code-server) runs VS Code on a remote server and serves it in the browser, so you can code from any device.

## About Hosting code-server

This template runs the official `codercom/code-server:latest` image with a persistent volume at `/home/coder` for your projects, extensions and settings. A random login password is generated and stored in the `PASSWORD` variable of the service. Open the service's Variables tab in Railway to read it, then open the public URL and sign in with it.
