# Deploy and Host CyberChef on Railway

[CyberChef](https://github.com/gchq/CyberChef) is a web app from GCHQ for encoding, decoding, encrypting, compressing and analysing data by chaining operations into a "recipe".

## About Hosting CyberChef

This template runs the official `ghcr.io/gchq/cyberchef:latest` image (nginx serving a static app on port 8080). It is stateless and everything runs in the browser, so no volume, database or configuration is needed.

## Common Use Cases

- Decode Base64, hex, URL and many other encodings
- Hash, encrypt and decrypt data, parse certificates and timestamps
- Keep a private copy for data you do not want to paste into a public site
