# Deploy and Host Docmost on Railway

Docmost is an open-source, collaborative wiki and documentation software designed for real-time knowledge sharing, team notes, and company wikis (an open-source alternative to Notion, Confluence, and Outline).

This template deploys the production-ready Docmost stack on Railway with zero manual configuration: PostgreSQL and Redis are managed via native plugins, application secrets are dynamically generated at deploy time, and persistent storage is isolated on a dedicated volume.

This template provisions a complete 3-tier production architecture:
- **Docmost Server:** The core application running the collaborative real-time editor with nested page hierarchies, markdown support, and permissions.
- **Managed PostgreSQL:** Production-ready database with automated connection pooling and persistent schema storage.
- **Managed Redis:** High-performance in-memory cache and pub/sub backend powering real-time multi-user document collaboration.
