# Deploy and Host Excalidraw on Railway

[Excalidraw](https://github.com/excalidraw/excalidraw) is a virtual whiteboard for sketching diagrams with a hand-drawn look. It runs entirely in the browser: drawings are kept in the visitor's browser storage and can be exported as PNG, SVG or `.excalidraw` files.

## About Hosting Excalidraw

This template runs the official `excalidraw/excalidraw:latest` image, a static web app served by nginx. There is nothing to configure and no database or volume, because the app stores no data on the server. Open the generated URL and start drawing. Live collaboration and shared links need Excalidraw's separate room server and are not included in this template.
