# Deploy and Host FastAPI Production Starter on Railway

FastAPI Production Starter is a backend starter template built with FastAPI and PostgreSQL. It includes JWT authentication, user registration and login, task management CRUD endpoints, SQLAlchemy, Alembic database migrations, Docker support, health checks, and automated tests. It provides a foundation for building your own Python APIs.

Deploy a Python API with a PostgreSQL database using Railway. The template includes an API service and a PostgreSQL service, with private networking between services and persistent database storage.

The application uses SQLAlchemy for database access and Alembic to manage schema migrations. Database migrations run during deployment, while the health check endpoint helps Railway verify application availability.
