# Deploy and Host Gollum on Railway

[Gollum](https://github.com/gollum/gollum) is a simple wiki built on Git: every page is a Markdown (or AsciiDoc, Org, RST...) file in a Git repository, with full history, diffs and a browser editor.

## About Hosting Gollum

This template runs the official `gollumwiki/gollum:6` image on port 8080 with a volume at `/wiki`, where the Git repository of your pages lives. Gollum has no accounts of its own, so the start command adds HTTP basic auth to every page: sign in as `admin` with the password in the service's `GOLLUM_PASSWORD` variable (generated at deploy). `/healthz` stays open for the health check. After signing in, create the Home page and start writing.
