# Deploy and Host LibreSpeed on Railway

[LibreSpeed](https://github.com/librespeed/speedtest) is a lightweight, self-hosted HTML5 speed test: download, upload, ping and jitter measured in any browser, with no Flash, Java or app to install.

## About Hosting LibreSpeed

This template runs the official `ghcr.io/librespeed/speedtest:latest-alpine` image in standalone mode (one server that hosts both the test page and the backend) on port 8080. Telemetry is off, so nothing is stored and no database is needed. Open the URL and press Start.

Note: results measure the speed between the visitor and the Railway region the service runs in.
