# Deploy and Host Meilisearch on Railway

[Meilisearch](https://github.com/meilisearch/meilisearch) is an open-source search engine with typo tolerance, filters, facets and instant results, controlled through a REST API.

## About Hosting Meilisearch

This template runs the official `getmeili/meilisearch:v1` image with a persistent volume at `/meili_data`, so indexes survive redeploys. A random `MEILI_MASTER_KEY` is generated into the service variables: read it in the Variables tab in Railway. Open the public URL to see the built-in dashboard, and send the master key (or keys derived from it) as a Bearer token with API requests.
