# Deploy and Host NocoDB on Railway

[NocoDB](https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb) is an open-source no-code database platform: it gives a spreadsheet-style interface, forms, views and APIs on top of a database.

## About Hosting NocoDB

This template runs the official `nocodb/nocodb:latest` image with a persistent volume at `/usr/app/data`. NocoDB stores its own metadata in a built-in SQLite database there, so bases and settings survive redeploys. A random `NC_AUTH_JWT_SECRET` is generated for you. On first visit, sign up with an email and password; the first user becomes the super admin.
