# Deploy and Host Octop on Railway

[Octop](https://github.com/TencentCloud/Octop) is an open-source, self-hosted AI assistant for households, small teams and individuals. One server provides a web dashboard, multiple agents, chat channel integrations (Feishu, DingTalk, Telegram, Discord and more) and scheduled automation.

## About Hosting Octop

This template runs the official `ghcr.io/tencentcloud/octop:latest` image with a persistent volume at `/data/.octop` for the built-in SQLite database, so users, agents and workspaces survive redeploys. Sign in as `admin` with the generated password: open the service's Variables tab and copy `OCTOP_DEFAULT_PASSWORD`. Then add your LLM provider key in the dashboard.
