## About Hosting Open Journal Systems

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is an open-source platform for scholarly journal submissions, peer review, editorial workflows, publishing, and indexing. This template deploys stable 3.5.0-5 with generated credentials and private MariaDB.

Sign in as `admin` with `OJS_ADMIN_PASSWORD`.

## Dependencies for OJS Hosting

### Deployment Dependencies

OJS and private MariaDB services each use a daily-backed-up volume. Railway provides HTTPS.

### Implementation Details

The adapter uses OJS's CLI installer with a generated administrator, forces canonical HTTPS, runs scheduled tasks hourly, and stores both public and private journal files on one application volume. Use one application replica.
