# Deploy and Host Openfront Real Estate with Railway

Openfront Real Estate is a self-hostable property-listing and brokerage-operations application. Visitors can explore properties and request information or showings. Brokerage teams manage listings, leads, showings, offers, deals, documents, tasks, and commission records.

## About Hosting Openfront Real Estate

This template provisions the application from [its GitHub repository](https://github.com/openshiporg/openfront-realestate), PostgreSQL, and a private native Railway Bucket named `Storage`. The database starts empty; no demo records or reusable credentials are included. Initialize the application using the repository's onboarding instructions after deployment.

`DATABASE_URL` references Postgres and the five `S3_*` variables reference the Storage bucket. Generated per deployment: `SESSION_SECRET`. Defaults: `NEXT_TELEMETRY_DISABLED=1`, `NODE_ENV=production`, `RAILPACK_NODE_VERSION=22`.

The app gets a Railway-generated public domain. No custom domains are included.

### Admin Dashboard
Manage pipeline, leads, listings, store settings, showings, operations, people, reports through dedicated dashboard workspaces and permission-controlled data screens.

### Storefront
The public site exposes property discovery and `/listings/[slug]`, with inquiries, showing requests, saved discovery, and customer account workflows.

### Listings & Lead Relationships
Manage properties and media, capture inquiries, route leads, and track activities, saved searches, alerts, and agent tasks.

### Showings & Transactions
Request and schedule showings, collect feedback, manage offers and counteroffers, and coordinate deal stages, documents, inspections, and milestones.

### Brokerage Records
Maintain brokerage memberships, publication and representation authority, attributable document evidence, commission ledger entries, and retention records. Feed and syndication records do not by themselves establish an external MLS connection.

Next.js and Keystone 6 with a GraphQL API, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. Payments, email, and other external providers need their own operator configuration; this template does not activate them.
