## Documentation

# Deploy and Host Ragnarok Remote Client on Railway

Ragnarok Remote Client is a lightweight HTTP server for Ragnarok Online game resources, built with Swift and Vapor. It serves background music and extracts files from GRF archives on demand.

## About Hosting Ragnarok Remote Client

This template deploys a prebuilt Docker image containing game resources. No file uploads, database, or persistent volume are required.

The server listens on port 8080. After deployment, generate a public domain targeting that port and append `/client` to obtain your resource base URL:

For example, request background music at:

## Why Deploy Ragnarok Remote Client on Railway?

- Deploy a ready-to-run image without installing Swift or Docker locally.
- Access client resources through an HTTPS endpoint.
- Extract individual GRF resources without unpacking the entire archive.
- Manage deployments and view logs from the Railway dashboard.

## Common Use Cases

- Provide resources to compatible Ragnarok Online clients.
- Supply sprites, textures, and music to development tools.
- Test applications that load game assets over HTTP.

## Dependencies for Ragnarok Remote Client

- Docker image: `arkadeleon/ragnarok-remote-client:latest`
- HTTP target port: `8080`
- No database or external storage required.

### Deployment Dependencies

- A Railway account and a plan supporting Docker images larger than 4 GB.
- A public domain targeting port 8080.

Railway hosting and network usage charges apply.
