# Deploy and Host RankMeFast on Railway

RankMeFast is a self-hosted SEO analytics platform for rank tracking, site audits, keyword research, backlinks, competitor intelligence, reporting, and team workflows. It keeps application data in managed Railway services while providing a browser-ready dashboard, background job processing, deterministic demo providers, and configurable live vendor integrations.

## About Hosting RankMeFast on Railway

This template runs the RankMeFast web UI, API, worker, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis as Docker-image services on Railway. Railway provides managed networking, deploys, domains, logs, environment variables, and persistent volumes for the data services.

## Why Deploy RankMeFast on Railway

Railway provides one-click multi-service deployment, automatic private DNS between services, HTTPS for the web service, persistent storage for databases, and straightforward secret management. The template is image-only, so deployments use the tested Docker images without source-based builds.

## Deployment Notes

The web service is public on port 3000 and proxies `/api` traffic to the private API on port 8080. The worker is private and listens on port 8081 for health checks. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis use persistent volumes. The API applies Drizzle migrations on startup. Set live provider credentials and change the generated `SUPERADMIN_PASSWORD` before production use; the template exposes `SUPERADMIN_EMAIL` and `SUPERADMIN_PASSWORD` for the initial operator account.

RankMeFast requires its web, API, worker, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis services. The web depends on the API; the API and worker depend on all three data services. Private Railway service references keep database traffic off the public internet.
