## Documentation

# Deploy and Host xyOps on Railway

[xyOps](https://github.com/pixlcore/xyops) is a self-hosted platform for job scheduling, visual workflow automation, server monitoring, alerting and incident response. It is the next generation of Cronicle.

## About Hosting xyOps

This template runs the official `ghcr.io/pixlcore/xyops:latest` image as a single conductor with a built-in local worker, and keeps its data on a persistent volume at `/opt/xyops/data`. The default `admin` / `admin` login is replaced on first start: the username is `admin` and the password is the generated `ADMIN_PASSWORD` variable of the service. Open the service Variables tab, copy it, then sign in at the public URL. Jobs run commands on the service itself, so keep the password private. To monitor other servers, add them from the Servers page.

## Common Use Cases

- Replace cron with scheduled jobs, history and alerts
- Build visual workflows that chain scripts and API calls
- Monitor servers and get notified when something breaks

## Dependencies for xyOps Hosting

- One service with a volume; no external database

## Why Deploy xyOps on Railway?

Railway gives you a public HTTPS URL, a persistent volume and automatic restarts with no server to maintain.
