# Railway Domains

Railway lets you register and manage custom domains for your services. Search for an available domain, register it directly through Railway, and connect it to a service — TLS certificates are issued and renewed automatically.

## What you can do

- **Search domains** — type a name to check availability across common TLDs
- **Register a domain** — buy a domain directly from Railway without leaving the dashboard
- **Connect a custom domain** — add a domain you already own to any Railway service
- **Automatic TLS** — Let's Encrypt certificates are provisioned and renewed for every domain
- **Wildcard support** — connect `*.example.com` to fan out to multiple services or environments

## Pricing

Domain pricing varies by TLD. Common TLDs like `.com` and `.dev` start around the standard registrar rate; the dashboard shows the exact yearly price before you check out.
