We released a new Features page with realtime platform statistics

We’ve been working on this page for a number of weeks and we’re excited to get it into your hands — this page has gone through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and we’re just thrilled to bring it to you today.

The page details the features of Railway, from the core primitives to advanced features and automations … all while telling the deployment lifecycle story on Railway.

You’ll also notice REAL platform statistics (desktop only for now) that update in realtime. 🙀

We’re not sure if any other infra companies are doing this — but we thought we’d do it in the name of transparency and trust.

Making a node.js + Postgres template with the new Template Composer

 we shipped a new Template Composer behind a 

As a reminder, the Template Composer is a powerful new tool for creating reproducible Railway projects with a few clicks.

The redesign is built to make it easier to build complex projects with lots of moving parts. 

In the quick example above, we’re showing how to build a node.js + Postgres template, but 

in the past we’ve shown how to combine multiple Docker images and GitHub repos in a project

As you might imagine, we’re not stopping here. We’re up to 512 templates, the 

, and we’re excited to bring you more. 

Crons are now displayed in relative time and feature realtime countdowns

For starters, we’ve transitioned crons to display relative time (rather than absolute time) in the 

 tab of the settings panel. It’s way easier to read and we probably should have implemented it like this from the start … better late than never!

We’ve also added a realtime countdown so you can see when your cron(s) are running next.
