Changelog #0223

Follow us on X

Before we get started, we wanted to let you know that we’ve had a pair of blogposts rocket to the front page of Hacker News over the past two weeks:

If you’re interested in the accompanying HN discussions, you can find those here and here.

In addition, as a bit of a meta-item, today Product Marketer David published a blogpost called Shipping a Changelog Every Week for 4 Years — be sure to give it a read if you’re interested in the mechanics of how these changelogs come together each week.

Now with that out of the way, we can start the show.

Roll the tape!

All-new Customers Page

If you’ve been keeping tabs on our growth, we just passed 900K users on the platform — and that number is rising at a record rate each day.

We’re now supporting 3.5M+ deploys a month, and with that, we’re supporting increasingly bigger and more mature customers.

To celebrate some of these customers, we’ve designed a new Customers page complete with testimonials, logos, user stories, and more.

We hope you get a chance to read about some of the companies running on Railway.

Enjoy!

At the same time the pixels on your screen are rendering this text, we’re lighting up a new Railway Metal region in Amsterdam.

Our team is installing racks of servers as we speak to deliver better, faster, cheaper, more configurable, and more reliable service to our friends in Europe.

This will be the third Railway Metal region we’ve lit up — exciting times indeed.

If you’d like a full Q&A on Railway Metal and why we’re doing it — check out Changelog #0204.

To get started on Railway Metal now in US West or US East, be sure to read the docs.
