Deploy and Host Caddy on Railway
Caddy is a fast, extensible web server written in Go with a simple config format and automatic HTTPS.
About Hosting Caddy
This template runs the official caddy:2 image on port 80 with a volume at /data for Caddy's state. It starts with the default Caddyfile that serves a welcome page; to host your own site or proxy, change the image's Caddyfile (/etc/caddy/Caddyfile) or mount your files into /usr/share/caddy. Railway terminates HTTPS in front, so use plain :80 site blocks.
Common Use Cases
- Serve a static site or single-page app
- Reverse proxy to other Railway services over private networking
- Learn Caddyfile configuration
Dependencies for Caddy Hosting
- One service with a volume; nothing else
