Deploy and Host Flone on Railway
Flone is a small, open-source Kanban board for teams. Organizations hold projects, projects hold boards, and tickets carry Markdown, comments, @mentions, image attachments, reminders and recurring schedules. It also ships an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or any MCP client can read and update your boards through the same permission checks as the web app.
About Hosting Flone
Flone is one Next.js app and one PostgreSQL database. The app builds from the repository's Dockerfile and applies database migrations on every start, so there is no separate migration step. A small cron service calls the app every five minutes to send reminders and create recurring tickets. Email is required, because new accounts confirm their address before signing in: point it at any SMTP server, or set a Resend API key. Image attachments are optional and work with any private S3-compatible bucket.
Common Use Cases
- A private, self-hosted task board for a small team or agency
- Letting an AI assistant triage, file and update tickets over MCP
- Replacing a paid SaaS tracker with one you own, under the AGPL
Dependencies for Flone Hosting
- PostgreSQL (included in this template)
- An SMTP server or a Resend account, for confirmation and notification emails
Deployment Dependencies

Implementation Details
The first account to register becomes the site administrator, and can close public registration from /admin. Every read and write is scoped to its organization inside the database query itself, so one tenant can never see another's data.
