Deploy and Host Freqtrade on Railway
Freqtrade is a free, open-source crypto trading bot written in Python: strategies, backtesting, hyperopt, dry-run paper trading and a web UI (FreqUI).
About Hosting Freqtrade
This template runs the official freqtradeorg/freqtrade:stable image in dry-run (paper trading) mode on Kraken with the bundled sample strategy, so no money and no exchange keys are involved. A volume at /freqtrade/user_data keeps strategies, data and the trade database. Open the public URL to reach FreqUI, add the bot with this same URL, user admin and the generated FREQTRADE__API_SERVER__PASSWORD variable from the service. To trade for real you must change the start command and supply your own config, strategy and exchange keys; do that only after testing.
Common Use Cases
- Paper-trade and watch a strategy live before risking money
- Run backtests and inspect trades from FreqUI
- A starting point for your own always-on trading bot
Dependencies for Freqtrade Hosting
- One service with a volume; SQLite is built in

Why Deploy Freqtrade on Railway?
Railway gives you a public HTTPS URL, a persistent volume and automatic restarts with no server to maintain. The bot keeps running around the clock without your computer.
