Deploy and Host Grafana on Railway
Grafana is an open-source platform for dashboards, alerting and exploring metrics, logs and traces from sources such as Prometheus, Loki, PostgreSQL and many more.
About Hosting Grafana
This template runs the official grafana/grafana:latest image with a persistent volume at /var/lib/grafana, so dashboards, users and data sources survive redeploys. The admin user is admin, and its password is generated into the GF_SECURITY_ADMIN_PASSWORD variable of the service; read it in the Variables tab in Railway and sign in at the public URL.
Common Use Cases
- Dashboards for Prometheus, Loki, Postgres and cloud metrics
- Alerting on metrics and logs
- A shared monitoring screen for a team
Dependencies for Grafana Hosting
- One service with a volume; add data sources from inside Grafana

Why Deploy Grafana on Railway?
Railway gives you a public HTTPS URL, a persistent volume and automatic restarts with no server to maintain. Sign in as admin with the generated password and add your first data source.
