Deploy and Host LensPDF on Railway
LensPDF is prepress-grade PDF review in the browser: per-channel separations, TAC heatmaps, layer toggles, a densitometer, and annotation overlays — no plugin install. Built from the public printwithsynergy/lens-pdf repo.
About Hosting LensPDF
This template deploys a single stateless lens-pdf HTTP service. Railway builds
it straight from the public repository and exposes the REST API; no database
or object store is required. Health rides at GET /healthz, the published
endpoint surface at GET /v1/contract. Scale vertically for large documents
or horizontally behind your own gateway.
Why Deploy LensPDF?
Run it on infrastructure you control: keep customer PDFs inside your network, pin the engine version your shop validated, and avoid per-document SaaS fees. If you'd rather have it managed (auth, quotas, billing, the full Synergy toolkit), use the hosted platform at https://host.withsynergy.io.
Common Use Cases
- Soft-proofing and client approval without desktop tooling
- Per-separation / ink-coverage inspection during prepress QA
- Embed a viewer in your own portal via the headless React components
Dependencies for LensPDF Hosting
None — the service is fully self-contained.
