Mealie is a self-hosted recipe manager and meal planner. Import recipes from any website by URL, organise them with tags and cookbooks, plan meals for the week and build shopping lists.

About Hosting Mealie

This template runs the official ghcr.io/mealie-recipes/mealie image with the built-in SQLite database and a persistent volume at /app/data, so recipes, images and settings survive redeploys. No separate database service is needed. Public sign-up is off by default.

Mealie normally ships with a well-known default login. To keep a public deployment safe, this template replaces the default password with a random one at startup. Open the service's Variables tab in Railway and copy MEALIE_ADMIN_PASSWORD, then sign in with the email changeme@example.com and that password. Change both under your user profile after the first login.
