Deploy and Host NocoDB on Railway

NocoDB is an open-source no-code database platform: it gives a spreadsheet-style interface, forms, views and APIs on top of a database.

About Hosting NocoDB

This template runs the official nocodb/nocodb:latest image with a persistent volume at /usr/app/data. NocoDB stores its own metadata in a built-in SQLite database there, so bases and settings survive redeploys. A random NC_AUTH_JWT_SECRET is generated for you. On first visit, sign up with an email and password; the first user becomes the super admin.

Common Use Cases

  • Spreadsheet-style front end for your databases
  • Internal tools, forms and shared views without code
  • Auto-generated REST APIs for your tables

Dependencies for NocoDB Hosting

  • One service with a volume; you can connect external databases from inside NocoDB later

Deployment Dependencies

Why Deploy NocoDB on Railway?

Railway gives you a public HTTPS URL, a persistent volume and automatic restarts with no server to maintain. Open the URL after the deploy to create your admin account.
