About Hosting Orbit by Noveum

This template includes the Orbit web service, a realtime WebSocket service, one maintenance scheduler, a public gateway, PostgreSQL, Redis and a private S3-compatible bucket. Application services use the published 2026.09.24 images. Database migrations run before the web service starts. Password sign-in is enabled.

Finish setup

Open the generated gateway HTTPS domain. Use this domain for the app and MCP because it routes both web requests and realtime WebSockets. The orbit service is the web backend.
Create your account and complete workspace onboarding.
Before browser file uploads, configure the private bucket CORS policy for the gateway HTTPS origin. Allow GET, HEAD and PUT, and the Content-Type and S3 signing/checksum headers used by the browser. Keep S3_FORCE_PATH_STYLE=false. See Railway file-upload guidance and Orbit storage configuration. Bucket CORS is a post-deployment step because the template editor does not expose bucket settings.
Configure RESEND_API_KEY and a verified EMAIL_FROM on the orbit service for email invitations and password recovery.
Verify sign-in, private document access, realtime updates between two browsers, file upload/download, scheduled jobs and persistence after restarting services before relying on the deployment.

Keep one scheduler replica. Preserve BETTER_AUTH_SECRET and CRON_SECRET across upgrades. Back up PostgreSQL and the object bucket together. For a custom domain, update BETTER_AUTH_URL and NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_URL on orbit to that gateway origin, and update bucket CORS. The realtime service references these values.

The release images passed local full-stack acceptance tests. A completed deployment of this exact Railway template has not yet been acceptance-tested. Railway infrastructure charges apply, and the selected plan must support the two persistent volumes used by PostgreSQL and Redis.
