Deploy and Host Parseable-takehome on Railway
Parseable is an open-source log storage and search platform. This template pairs it with Vector (a log shipper) and a demo todo app to give you a complete log observability stack — deployed and running on Railway in minutes.
About Hosting Parseable-takehome
This template deploys three services: Parseable (log storage and search UI), Vector (log collector and forwarder), and an optional demo Node.js app that sends structured logs automatically. Parseable runs in local-store mode backed by a Railway Volume for persistent storage — no S3 or object storage required. Vector exposes a public HTTP endpoint that any Railway-hosted app can POST logs to in 3 lines of code.
Common Use Cases
Storing and searching logs from Railway-hosted apps without a third-party logging service Debugging production issues by querying structured log events with SQL Demonstrating log observability as part of a full-stack Railway deployment
Dependencies for Parseable-takehome Hosting
Railway Volume (attached to Parseable for persistent log storage) PostgreSQL database (used by the demo app)

Why Deploy Parseable-takehome on Railway?
Railway is a singular platform to deploy your infrastructure stack. Railway will host your infrastructure so you don't have to deal with configuration, while allowing you to vertically and horizontally scale it.
By deploying Parseable-takehome on Railway, you are one step closer to supporting a complete full-stack application with minimal burden. Host your servers, databases, AI agents, and more on Railway.
