Deploy and Host Playlist Craft Self Host on Railway
Playlist Craft Self Host is a full music-generation workspace you run on your own stack: singles and up to 20-track playlists, media/image/video backgrounds, custom renders, File Drive, personas, YouTube upload, and team tools. Bring your own API keys (Suno, OpenRouter, Fal). After deploy, activate with a one-time lifetime license from playlistcraft.com.
About Hosting Playlist Craft Self Host
One-click deploy creates a Railway project with the web dashboard, main/s3/render/youtube servers, Postgres, and object storage. You add shared variables for your provider keys (and optional email/YouTube OAuth), finish /setup for the admin account, then unlock the UI with a license key. Creative data stays on your Railway stack—not a SaaS subscription inside the template. Full walkthrough: Deploy guide. Feature list: Features. License & pricing: Pricing or Get license. You can deploy first and buy later, or buy first and paste the key after setup—activation is required either way.
Common Use Cases
- Run a virtual artist pipeline: high-quality singles for YouTube Music / Spotify with consistent personas, then playlist collections of 5–20 tracks
- Generate longform music videos with custom renders—upload your own assets or create images/videos in the media-generation playground first
- Operate a private, BYOK studio for a team: File Drive, YouTube channel upload, invites, and settings on infrastructure you control
Dependencies for Playlist Craft Self Host Hosting
- Railway account — hosts the template services, Postgres, and storage
- BYOK API keys — at minimum OpenRouter, Suno, and Fal (
OPENROUTER_API_KEY,SUNO_API_KEY,FAL_KEY); optional email (Resend or ZeptoMail) and Google OAuth for YouTube upload - Playlist Craft lifetime license — purchase after (or before) deploy; activate in-app when the license gate appears (docs: license activation)

Implementation Details
After deploy:
- Open Project Settings → Shared Variables and add your third-party keys. Internal service-to-service secrets are already wired with Railway formulas—do not invent matching keys by hand.
- Wait for services to come up, open the web public URL, complete
/setup. - When the license gate appears, paste the key from Polar (buy on Get license if you have not yet). One license = one dashboard instance.
- Never put Polar organization tokens in your Railway project—checkout stays on playlistcraft.com; activation uses Playlist Craft’s license broker.
