Deploy and Host Postiz Pro Stack One-click Deploy on Railway

Postiz Pro Stack One-click Deploy is a complete self-hosted social media management and automation stack. It combines Postiz with PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal, Elasticsearch, Temporal UI, private S3-compatible media storage, and a dedicated media proxy, all preconfigured for deployment on Railway.

About Hosting Postiz Pro Stack One-click Deploy

Hosting modern Postiz releases requires more than deploying the application alone. Postiz uses PostgreSQL for application data, Redis for caching, and Temporal for scheduled posts and background workflows. Temporal also requires its own PostgreSQL database and Elasticsearch visibility store. This template provisions and connects the complete architecture automatically through Railway's private network.

Unlike basic Postiz templates, media files are stored in a private Railway S3-compatible bucket instead of the Postiz container filesystem. A dedicated media proxy securely serves uploaded files while keeping the storage bucket private. Postiz requires Temporal for scheduled workflows starting with version 2.12.0.

Common Use Cases

  • Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Manage social media accounts for creators, businesses, or client teams.
  • Build automated publishing workflows through Postiz APIs, MCP, n8n, Make, or AI agents.

Dependencies for Postiz Pro Stack One-click Deploy Hosting

  • PostgreSQL for Postiz application data.
  • Redis for caching and application coordination.
  • Temporal for durable scheduled and background workflows.
  • A dedicated PostgreSQL database for Temporal.
  • Elasticsearch for Temporal workflow visibility.
  • Temporal UI for inspecting and monitoring workflows.
  • Railway S3-compatible storage for uploaded media.
  • A secure media proxy for serving private bucket objects.

Deployment Dependencies

Implementation Details

This template deploys nine connected resources:

  1. Postiz
  2. Postiz PostgreSQL
  3. Postiz Redis
  4. Private Railway media bucket
  5. Media proxy
  6. Temporal Server
  7. Temporal PostgreSQL
  8. Temporal Elasticsearch
  9. Temporal UI

Only Postiz and the media proxy require public access. Databases, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Temporal communicate through Railway's private network.

The Postiz container runs its frontend, backend, orchestrator, and Nginx proxy together. Railway exposes Nginx on port 5000, while the internal Postiz API listens on port 3000.

The template uses generated secrets, persistent database volumes, health checks, dependency readiness checks, private service references, and pinned infrastructure versions. Railway recommends private networking, generated secrets, health checks, and persistent storage for production-ready templates.

Why This Template Is More Complete

Several existing Railway Postiz templates intentionally remain on Postiz v2.11.3 to avoid running Temporal. Those templates are lighter, but they cannot provide the current Temporal-based Postiz architecture.

Other Temporal templates commonly store uploads on a local container volume or may require a manual redeploy when Postiz starts before Temporal is ready.

Postiz Pro Stack improves this deployment model by including:

  • The complete Temporal architecture required by modern Postiz releases.
  • Separate databases for Postiz and Temporal.
  • Private S3-compatible media storage instead of local uploads.
  • A dedicated media proxy for stable public media URLs.
  • Startup dependency checks to reduce deployment race conditions.
  • Host-only authentication cookies compatible with Railway domains.
  • Private networking for every internal infrastructure service.
  • Automatically generated credentials and preconfigured service references.

Railway buckets are private by default and can be securely exposed using presigned URLs or a backend proxy, which is the model used by this template.

Why Deploy Postiz Pro Stack One-click Deploy on Railway?

Railway is a singular platform to deploy your infrastructure stack. Railway will host your infrastructure so you don't have to deal with configuration, while allowing you to vertically and horizontally scale it.
