Deploy and Host Postiz (w/ admin login) on Railway

Postiz schedules and publishes posts to 30+ social networks from one calendar. This template runs the current release (2.25.3; the most-deployed Postiz templates run 2.11.3, which has a critical takeover flaw), with Temporal ready before Postiz starts so posts don't get stuck, and your own login instead of an open sign-up page.

About Hosting Postiz (w/ admin login)

Type your email and a password on the deploy form. Open the Postiz URL and sign in with them; sign-up stays closed. Needs the Hobby plan: Postiz uses about 1.1 GB, the whole project about 1.5 GB.

Connect your networks

1. Add a network's keys as variables on the Postiz service, then click Add Channel in Postiz. In redirect URIs, YOUR-POSTIZ-URL is the Postiz service's domain (Settings, Networking), like postiz-production-1a2b.up.railway.app.
2. No approval needed. Bluesky (app password), Mastodon (choose M. Instance, any server), Lemmy, Nostr, WordPress (application password), Dev.to and Hashnode connect with no variables. Telegram: create a bot with @BotFather, set TELEGRAM_TOKEN and TELEGRAM_BOT_NAME. Discord: an app with a bot, DISCORD_CLIENT_ID, DISCORD_CLIENT_SECRET, DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN_ID, redirect https://YOUR-POSTIZ-URL/integrations/social/discord. Slack: an app, SLACK_ID, SLACK_SECRET, redirect https://YOUR-POSTIZ-URL/integrations/social/slack.
3. Paid. X: no free API tier, you pay per post. X_API_KEY, X_API_SECRET, callback https://YOUR-POSTIZ-URL/integrations/social/x. When credits run out, Postiz only says "Unknown Error".
4. Needs the network's approval. Facebook and Instagram (Meta app, business verification for real use): FACEBOOK_APP_ID, FACEBOOK_APP_SECRET, redirects https://YOUR-POSTIZ-URL/integrations/social/facebook and .../instagram. Threads: THREADS_APP_ID, THREADS_APP_SECRET, .../threads. LinkedIn pages: LINKEDIN_CLIENT_ID, LINKEDIN_CLIENT_SECRET, .../linkedin-page (personal profiles fail on self-hosted Postiz for now). YouTube: YOUTUBE_CLIENT_ID, YOUTUBE_CLIENT_SECRET, .../youtube. Reddit: REDDIT_CLIENT_ID, REDDIT_CLIENT_SECRET, .../reddit. Pinterest: PINTEREST_CLIENT_ID, PINTEREST_CLIENT_SECRET, .../pinterest. TikTok has rejected apps made for posting to your own accounts.

Add a teammate

1. Postiz turns away invited sign-ups while sign-up is closed, so set DISABLE_REGISTRATION to false on the Postiz service and wait for the redeploy. Until you close it again, anyone with your URL can create an account with its own empty workspace (not access to yours).
2. In Postiz's team settings, invite them and copy the invitation link. They open it and sign up within 15 minutes. Postiz also gives them a workspace of their own; yours appears in their workspace list.
3. Set DISABLE_REGISTRATION back to true.

Coming from a 2.11.3 template

1. Deploy this template as a new project; upgrading 2.11.3 in place breaks it, because Postiz now needs Temporal.
2. Copy your network keys (X_API_KEY and so on) to the new Postiz service and add its redirect URIs to each app.
3. Reconnect your channels and re-create scheduled posts and media; accounts, posts and uploads stay in the old project.

Back up the Postgres and Postiz (uploads) volumes, and keep JWT_SECRET: it encrypts channel credentials.
