Deploy and Host RabbitMQ on Railway
RabbitMQ is an open source message broker supporting AMQP, MQTT and streams, with a web management UI.
About Hosting RabbitMQ
This template runs the official rabbitmq:4-management image with a volume at /var/lib/rabbitmq. The management UI is public on port 15672; sign in as admin with the generated RABBITMQ_DEFAULT_PASS (see the service variables). Other services in the same Railway project reach AMQP on port 5672 through the private domain rabbitmq.railway.internal (adjust to the service name).
Common Use Cases
- Queue background jobs between services
- Pub/sub messaging inside a Railway project
- Inspect queues and exchanges in the management UI
Dependencies for RabbitMQ Hosting
- One service with a volume; nothing else

Why Deploy RabbitMQ on Railway?
