Deploy and Host Bexio MCP on Railway
Connect your bexio workflows with compatible AI applications and automation tools. Bexio MCP is a community-developed integration offering tools for contacts, invoices, quotes, accounting, projects and more. This Railway template helps you host the MCP server centrally, with token-protected HTTP access to your own bexio account.
About Hosting Bexio MCP
Hosting Bexio MCP on Railway provides a central HTTP service for your integrations. Supply your bexio Personal Access Token and connect your applications using the separate HTTP authentication token generated by the template.
The startup configuration checks credentials, timezone and file storage before launching the server. Attach a persistent volume at /data; this is required by the configured startup checks. The default timezone is Europe/Zurich, while a custom TZ value takes precedence.
Use one service instance with the attached volume. Available operations depend on your bexio permissions and subscribed modules. No separate application database is required.
Common Use Cases
- Prepare invoice drafts and quotes from connected applications.
- Retrieve customer details, outstanding invoices and payment information.
- Use accounting records, project data and time entries in reports and workflows.
Dependencies for Bexio MCP Hosting
- A bexio account and Personal Access Token with appropriate permissions.
- A Railway project with a persistent volume mounted at
/data. - A client that supports the server’s HTTP interface and bearer authentication.
- Any additional bexio modules required by your workflows.

Replace YOUR_DOMAIN with your service domain and YOUR_HTTP_TOKEN with the generated BEXIO_HTTP_TOKEN.
The upstream server uses a custom HTTP/JSON-RPC implementation. Compatibility with clients requiring standard MCP Streamable HTTP or OAuth must be verified separately.
Downloaded files stored on the server are not public download links. Stored files require periodic cleanup.
Why Deploy Bexio MCP on Railway?
Railway brings deployment, environment variables, logs and persistent storage into one place. Run your bexio integration alongside your applications and automation services without managing a virtual machine.
Adjust compute resources as your workload grows and manage the service from one dashboard. This configuration uses one instance with an attached volume.
