Deploy and Host Crawl4AI on Railway
Crawl4AI is an open-source web crawler and scraper that turns web pages into clean markdown and structured data for LLMs and RAG pipelines.
About Hosting Crawl4AI
This template runs the official unclecode/crawl4ai:latest image, which bundles a headless browser, Redis and the HTTP API on port 11235. A random CRAWL4AI_API_TOKEN is generated for you; the server only accepts connections when a token is set. Find it in the service's Variables tab and send it as Authorization: Bearer . The /playground page offers a UI for trying requests, and /health reports status. The image is large, so the first deploy can take a few minutes, and the browser needs at least 2 GB of RAM.
Common Use Cases
- Crawl pages to markdown for RAG and AI agents
- Extract structured data with CSS, XPath or LLM strategies
- Take screenshots and PDFs of pages through an API
Dependencies for Crawl4AI Hosting
- One service; Redis and the browser run inside the same container
