Deploy and Host Daily Stock Analysis on Railway
Daily Stock Analysis is a widely used open-source AI research assistant for China A-share (and other market) watchlists: scheduled reports with citations, a market-review summary, a web dashboard for configuration and history, and push notifications. This is a community-maintained template; it is not affiliated with the project.
About Hosting Daily Stock Analysis
Daily Stock Analysis is a Python/FastAPI service with a React dashboard, storing everything in SQLite, and pulling from several market-data sources with automatic fallback. Its own Docker guide runs two containers (a scheduler and a web service) and, out of the box, serves the dashboard with password protection off — the toggle for it is also read only from a config file, so setting it as an ordinary Docker environment variable silently has no effect.
This template runs it as one Railway service with authentication mandatory and enforced at every start, the admin password set from the deploy form before the dashboard is ever reachable, and the daily scheduled analysis running in the same process. Bring at least one LLM provider key; everything else (which stocks, which schedule, which notification channel) is configurable from the dashboard after your first sign-in.
Common Use Cases
- A private daily research brief over a personal watchlist, pushed to Feishu, Discord or a webhook.
- A team dashboard for tracking a shared list of positions with AI-generated context.
- A base for experimenting with LLM-driven market analysis without managing infrastructure.
Dependencies for Daily Stock Analysis Hosting
- At least one LLM provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, or any OpenAI-compatible/custom endpoint).
- Optional: a search API key (Tavily, Google Custom Search, Firecrawl, …) for richer news context.
- Optional: a notification channel (Feishu, Discord, DingTalk, a webhook) to receive reports outside the dashboard.

Implementation Details
The app is built from a pinned upstream commit, running as the non-root user upstream's own Dockerfile already
uses. The published advisories in the frontend's dependency lockfile (react-router, react-router-dom,
form-data) are resolved with non-breaking updates. Authentication, which upstream reads only from a
persisted configuration file rather than a plain environment variable, is written into that file at every
start and verified before the dashboard is allowed to serve; the admin password is set through the same
function the web UI's own first-run form calls, before the server accepts any connection, closing the
unauthenticated race a fresh install otherwise has.
Tested in CI and on a live deployment of this template: mandatory authentication, the owner password (including its reset path), the login/logout flow, and a redeploy keeping the password and configuration.
The deploy form generates OWNER_PASSWORD. Copy it from the app service's variables, add an LLM provider key,
and sign in on the app's domain.
