Deploy and Host Paperclip on Railway
Paperclip is a Node.js server and React UI for orchestrating a team of AI agents: define goals, hire agents, set budgets and track work and costs from one dashboard.
About Hosting Paperclip
This template runs the official ghcr.io/paperclipai/paperclip:latest image in authenticated mode with a persistent volume at /paperclip and its embedded PostgreSQL database. The volume holds the database, uploads, the local secrets key and agent workspaces. Session-signing secrets are generated for you. Open the public URL right after the deploy, create an account, and claim the instance as its first admin in the browser (the first account to claim wins, so do it before sharing the link). To make agents do real work, add a provider key such as ANTHROPIC_API_KEY or OPENAI_API_KEY under the service variables.
Common Use Cases
- Run a team of AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode) against business goals
- Track tasks, budgets and costs per agent in one place
- Host several organizations with separate data in a single deployment
Dependencies for Paperclip Hosting
- One service with a volume; nothing else. Provider API keys are optional and added later.

Why Deploy Paperclip on Railway?
Railway gives you a public HTTPS URL, a persistent volume and automatic restarts with no server to maintain. Keep your admin account and provider keys private: agents spend your API credits.
