Deploy and Host Paperclip (w/ admin login) on Railway
Paperclip is an open-source control plane for AI agents such as Claude Code and Codex: scheduled routines, tasks, and every run with its transcript. This template creates your admin account from the deploy form and keeps sign-ups closed, so nobody else can claim your instance.

About Hosting Paperclip (w/ admin login)
It runs Paperclip's official image with a private Postgres and a volume for agent workspaces. Paperclip uses about 1 GB of memory at idle, more during agent runs, so it needs the Hobby plan or above.
Get started
- Deploy, typing your admin email and password on the deploy form.
- Open the public URL and sign in with that email and password.
- Create your company in Paperclip's onboarding.
- Add an agent and connect its AI account in Paperclip, with an API key or the account sign-in Paperclip offers.
Common Use Cases
- Scheduled coding agents on your repos
- Recurring research and reporting runs
- One dashboard for every agent run

Implementation Details

Paperclip dumps its database to its volume every hour. Turn on Railway backups for both volumes (each service's Backups tab, one click each), and keep PAPERCLIP_SECRETS_MASTER_KEY: stored secrets can't be read without it.
